Political Porn

Damn, I wish she'd make up her mind!

That Palin woman has mentioned that she is not out of politics, oh know, she is in it for the long haul, yessiree.

Maybe someone should ask her to spell "potato".

What Sarah has is star quality, but she seems to wear thin rather quickly.

I am sure we will be hearing more from and about her, you don't need to hear it fro me. I wish her success in whatever she does.

The most impressive act of political savvy, (at least to this casual observer), last week came to us from the junior senator from Illinois, Roland Burris, who announced that he would not seek election next year. No matter what his motives, one must give the man credit for recognizing his situation for what it is, and not being blinded by the power and opportunity currently in his lap, and doing not only what is most expedient, but what is right, with little fanfare or self-serving publicity. Not that he won't walk away with a bundle anyway, but his action shows a bit more class than we are used to seeing from inside the beltway.

Then there is Nancy Pelosi.

She is the poster child for the ilk of politicians who just can't get over the fact that they won the last election and that they need to move forward rather than continue to extract their pound of flesh from the last administration, (not that they don't deserve it--but revenge, as the saying goes, is a dish best served cold). She reminds me a lot of Lenny Bruce in his decline. It's not enough to be on the winning side Nancy, you have to do something with it.

If I were American and more informed on politics I'd say something savvy about the American political situation right about now. Although I know enough about Palin to say I think she's a tard.

that was savvy enuf.

It was a tad disrespectful to those with certain disabilities tho. the downside to the electronic age is that the immediate availability of data, (true, false or whatever), gives a lot of folks delusions of adequacy....

thanks for stopping by

Roland Burris is a name I haven't heard in a while. Good on him for getting out before the roof falls in on him.

Nancy Pelosi is a failboat.

Like I said in another post. Palin is just a symptom, and an easy target. Just take inventory of the 'caliber' of the folks running this country. Would you recruit any of them to run your business ?

Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Schumer... and a nice, comical punch-line (pun intended), Franken.

Obama is the only name on that list with, "stuff".. but it's mostly charisma... ability in a con-artist kinda way. He's done nothing of note on his way up, and to date, has done nothing other than avail himself of a congressional majority. The rest of them are pitiful wastes of oxygen... trying to make political hay before the sun sets on their momentum.

What scares me more than this damage being done by an under-achieving minority of the populace, via sown and reaped outrage (read 'Rules for Radical').. is the damage that will be done by an accomplished, conservative majority, when THEY get angry and fed up. The backlash to all this insanity will be epic, and might be even worse.

I'm sure glad I have no children.
