Saddam Hussein met his forecasted end tonight, (US time). I feel no sense of loss for the man, as he was as brutal as Hitler in his own way, and as willing to trample over the lives of anyomne or any institution in his way.
I do feel a sense of purposelessness at the continuing war in that country. Getting rid of that S.O.B. is small compensation for all that has been lost.

You don't suppose that Bush will come out of his tornado shelter and have another "mission accomplished" moment and actually bring our troops home?

...now how long will it be before the video is available on YouTube?
No JB, I don't expect the president to do anything that intelligent. And what's the deal with taking refuge in an armored vehicle? Guess its safer than staying in the White-doublewide...
George W. Bush
The Lord's Chosen
Your Majesty,
There is only one course left for you to take now that Saddam bin Laden is finally dead. You must give a speech in prime time detailing your long battle against this man. Your father should be made to kneel down beside you as you address the nation, so that once and for all, the world will know that you are a better man and a greater leader than him. Saddam's dead, naked body should be draped over the podium as you speak, and once you've finished, you should have your way with it to demonstrate that you've achieved the only thing you ever really wanted to accomplish in Iraq, the total domination of the man your father couldn't control, not with weapons sales or war. Then, you should bring our troops home.
Heterosexually yours,
Gen. JC Christian, patriot
Thanks to daily kos for this quote. I got quite a good laugh from this.

more truth there than many realize...
how long will it be before the video
Actually, we were wondering how long until the theories start to coalesce about how a Saddam "double" was hanged instead, and the man himself is now operating a Quick Trip in Oklahoma City.
I can see the headlines, "Saddam Undercutting Competition on Super Unleaded--Bush Administration Threatens Invasion of Oklahoma".
The pic that CNN published looked like the Saddam that we all knew, but I guess anything's possible.
Maybe he will be Dick Cheney's new Chief of Staff...
Well this will help Bush a little bit, but not for long...
